In the recent period, quite a few customers have contacted us with the question of whether they can send a safety data sheet in English through the supply chain or do they have to provide the customer with a safety data sheet in the national language?
The answer can be found in Article 31 (Requirements for safety data sheets) of the REACH Regulation, specifically in point 5, where it is stated:
"The safety data sheet shall be supplied in an official language of the Member State(s) where the substance or mixture is placed on the market, unless the Member State(s) concerned provide otherwise."
